NRA Basic Personal Protection In The Home Course

Safety, mental preparation, developing defensive shooting skills, decision-making, self-defense and the law, defensive fundamentals, cover and concealment available in the home, strategies for home and personal safety, ammunition and accessories for personal protection, safe and deployable firearm storage, communication with Law Enforcement.

Prerequisite class or equivalent: NRA Basic Pistol (contact Dan at 603.231.3778). Must bring your own pistol, a minimum of 250 rounds, holster and belt if you have them, hat, ear and eye pro. Capped drinks are allowed.

NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting - Instructor Led Only

This course teaches the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for owning and operating all pistol types safely — the first step in self-protection training. No prior experience needed. Hands-on training covers semi-auto and revolver safe handling, ammunition knowledge, fundamentals of pistol shooting, and a live-fire qualification at a covered range. Bring eye and ear protection, a hat, and snacks/lunch if desired — everything else is provided.
